Power Shift's Web-Based Email (Webmail)
PShift provides Webmail as a means to check and respond to emails when you are away from your home computer. Here's how to use it:
- Go to Power Shift's home page (http://www.pshift.com) and log in with your email address and password.

- You will then see your inbox. This inbox only shows the emails that are on our server. It does not show the emails that you have downloaded onto your computer!
In order to read an email, you need to have your popup blocker (if you are using one) turned off, and your browser also needs to accept cookies. Attachments only function is you are using Internet Explorer.
If you delete an item from your inbox, make sure you click "Purge deleted messages" before logging off, to actually get rid of the email.
- If you are expecting an email, and have not received it, check the Quarantine. Suspicious emails, and emails with viruses or forbidden attachments are held for up to 2 days on the server. You may release messages that have no virus or have no forbidden attachments (if the checkbox is white, you may release that message; if it is grey, you may not). If needed messages from a sender (or a company) routinely are blocked by the quarantine, add that address in the Whitelist to bypass the filters.

- When you compose or reply to an email, the compose window pops up, and is, by default, in text mode.
If you want to use special formatting, pictures and other icons, switch to HTML mode by clicking on the "Format" dropdown menu at the top and choosing "HTML."
- ALWAYS click "Logoff" at the upper right before closing out the webmail window. If you do not, then the mail server will lock your email account for up to 20 minutes, in the mistaken belief that you are still logged in and checking your email.
