Windows Milennium Edition (ME) Dial-Up Setup
Click Start and choose Run in the Start Menu.
Type in "inetwiz" and click "OK".
If your computer asks whether you want to set up a new connection or use an existing, choose to "Make a New Connection" and click "Next".
Select "Connect through a phone line and modem" and click "Next".
If you wish to disable call waiting, enter "*70," before the phone number.
If you have voice mail, enter ",,," before the phone number.
Enter your local phone number, without area code, uncheck "Use area code and dialing rules." and click "Next"
Enter "PShift" for the Connection Name and click "Next"
If you wish to set up your PShift mail account, choose "yes" and continue.
If not, choose "no", click "Next" and click "finish".
If your computer asks whether you want to set up a new account or use an existing, choose "Create new Internet Mail Account" anc click "Next"
Enter the name you want people to see when you send an email and click "Next".
Enter your email address (usually "username@pshift.com", unless you requested something different) and click "Next".
Enter the incoming and outgoing email addresses and click "Next":
Incoming (POP3): pop.pshift.com
Outgoing (SMTP): smtp.pshift.com
Enter your account name (the part before the "@" of your email address) and password and click "Next".
Click Finish and you're done!
