Setting Up PPP and TCP/IP on your Macintosh OS 8
Open your apple menu. Scroll down to "control panels", then click on "PPP".
Enter your user details in the Name: and Password: boxes.
Enter the local access number.
Select the Options button from the bottom.
There are three Tabs on the resultant window, each with their own settings. Configure each set initially as shown.
Open your apple menu. Scroll down to "control panels", then click on "TCP/IP".
Under the Connect via: select PPP.
Under the Configure: choose Using PPP Server.
Enter the Name Server Addr: Details as shown.
In the Search domains: box enter pshift.com
Close the TCP/IP window and test the connection
